Xbox One users have been able to stream HDR content on Netflix for a while, but Windows 10 is now joining the party as well. Netflix today announced that HDR streaming is now supported in its Windows 10 app, as well as in Microsoft Edge.

Netflix now has well over 200 million paid subscribers, and its total audience is almost certainly larger. While many users stream its content from mobile devices, others love to watch Netflix on their big 4K TV or projector. How can you stream Netflix in 4K, and does it also support High Dynamic Range (HDR) video?
At E3 2008, Microsoft announced a deal to distribute Netflix videos over Xbox Live.[51] This service was launched on November 19, 2008[52] to Xbox 360 owners with a Netflix Unlimited subscription and an Xbox Live Gold subscription[53] allowing them to stream films and television shows directly from their Netflix Instant Queue from an application on the Dashboard.[54] Xbox Live's Party Mode had a popular feature where users could create a virtual party and bring their avatars to a virtual theater to watch Netflix simultaneously and even send comments and smiley faces to each other. This feature was discontinued on December 6, 2011.[55]
In July 2009, Sony partnered with Netflix to enable Sony BRAVIA Internet Platforms to access instant queues for Netflix users. Any Netflix member with an Internet-enabled BRAVIA HDTV will be able to link up their account to their television and stream videos from their queue.[74]
