History of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Urdu PDF 63
Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was a famous Sufi saint and poet who lived in the 12th and 13th centuries. He was born in Marwand, Sistan, to a noble family from Baghdad, Iraq. He travelled widely in the Muslim world and settled in Sehwan, Sindh, where he taught, wrote, and performed miracles. He was revered by the local Sindhi population and became known as Lal (ruby-coloured), Shahbaz (noble and divine spirit), and Qalandar (wandering spiritual man). He was also called Jhulelal (red bridegroom) by some of his devotees. He was a friend of other famous Sufis such as Baha-ud-din Zakariya, Baba Fariduddin Ganjshakar, and Syed Jalaluddin Bukhari. He died on 19 February 1274 and his shrine in Sehwan is a popular pilgrimage site for Muslims and Hindus alike. He is also the subject of a popular Sufi song called Dama Dam Mast Qalandar.
